Like the raging wind of a autumn evening. Like the trapped lie inside of ones heart, Music stands untold. Music stands undefined. No one can tell you what music is. It can be the melody, or the symphony of a simple song, or it can be the story or the message within. It's music. To some it may be the sound, to some it may be the words. But to me, Music is life. I remember reading a picture on google once, which said what I thought music was : "Music is my life, the lyrics is my story.". Different lyrics means different stories. Different stories mean different songs. Different songs mean different lives.
If you look above, you will see that the title of this post is "Music." So this post will constantly repeat using that one word, because thats what this post is all about. Now, why did I write about music? Well, Music is my passion. It's what I use to confront my feelings. It's what I use to express myself. Many people have different ways to express themselves, different ways to communicate with others, and with themselves, and that is one hard job. I don't really know where I'm going with this post, but my point is, Music is what I use to represent myself. If anyones asks me, What do you love to do? I'd say, listen to music. And I hope everyone has something like this with them, something that they use to represent themselves, may it be football or cooking, because it is such a great feeling, when you know you have something that leads you back to yourself, and something that you can, I would say, call your "home", you know, the place where your all chill and mellow, and you feel the best.
So, I've got some questions to my readers, What does music mean to you? I use music to represent myself, What about you? Do you agree with some of the things I have said in this post?
Until my next post, remember to Live, Laugh, Love,

Mahpara!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post on music. You need to check out Mr. R's post on Ben Harper. He is a real music fiend. http://clueaspace.blogspot.sg/2012/09/introducing-ben-harper.html
I really love this line of yours "it is such a great feeling, when you know you have something that leads you back to yourself, and something that you can, I would say, call your "home".
You are very lucky to have found this refuge. Great questions at the end of your post, btw. To respond, I love music a lot. It's poetry sung and there's really nothing like having a sound track playing while you're doing stuff, right? :) What makes me feel like I am home are words, though. Words on a page, on a blog, on something printed.
Thank you so much for your feedback Ms Paula, I will definitely check out Mr. R's post.
DeleteI couldn't agree with you more when you said "there's really nothing like having a sound track playing while you're doing stuff," because, well, there isn't!
I look forward to more comments,
Once again,
Thank You
Wow! Mahpara, I can feel that you are extremely passionate about music. I agree with you a lot, that music is like life, I can feel you are super attached to music, as if you can fly away in your own thoughts whilst you're making music.
ReplyDeleteI know you're a extremely talented singer, but just shy, but if you want I would like it if you share with us a piece of music or lyrics you composed!
Keep up the awesome writing!
Thanks So much for your comment Jimin! I totally do fly away when there is music playing, and not just fly away, I imagine, I dream.
DeleteYes, I am shy (though, not too sure about being a talented singer) and I really appreciate your compliment, but I am not sure if I'm ready to share any pieces of music, YET at least, but thanks for the suggestion.
wow! i totally agree with that whole post. i am a music lover too, and i can completely connect with what you wrote. i also think music leads me back 'home'. i love how you added a ton of metaphors and similes in your writing!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you agreed with my post, and how you connected with it. I am also happy you found that piece of home, and I hope it stays with you forever.
DeleteThanks so much for your comment
Be sure to meet Hamza and India They are writing some great stuff about music too.I am a huge fan as well. I look forward to connecting with you.
ReplyDeleteHi Mr Raisdana,
DeleteI checked out your blog, and your post on Ben Harper and I thought it was really awesome you made a connection with the song so well.
I will be sure to check out Hamza's and India's blogs.
Thank you so much for commenting.
I really love this post and I connect with it. I love music as well. I aslo think that music is our life. Our song, our story, different song, different life. I couldn't imagine a world without music. Your writing has great metaphors in it. This is a amazing post! I can't wait to read more!
ReplyDeleteI am really happy you liked my post, and that you found a way to connect with it.
DeleteI couldn't imagine a world without music as well, and I am sure living in a world without music will be, well, impossible.
I am really looking forward for everyone to read some of my upcoming posts,
Thanks for the comment
Ok so this is going to sound super weird and shady but hey whatever. So I have looking at my biggest traffic sources for my blog (cuz bordem is a powerful tool) and you were on that list with like 2 views that had been traffic from your blog. I have no idea who you are but I like this post a lot and for lots of reasons it is extremely true to me.
ReplyDeleteThis post is extremely powerful and the quality of writing is way higher than a middle schooler (btw what grade are you in). The blog is a piece of art and keep up the great work.
"t's what I use to express myself. Many people have different ways to express themselves, different ways to communicate with others, and with themselves, and that is one hard job. I don't really know where I'm going with this post, but my point is, Music is what I use to represent myself. " is exactly what you said in your post. I found this extremely true. Music for me is away to express my self. I have a HUGE and when I say huge I mean MASIVE music lover but I always sucked at composing it and playing it but none the less I love listening to it. I think music is more than a way to express your self its more of an outlet not only for the listener but for the artist(s). I can listen to music for hours at a time and never get board of it.
Anyway so this is the really weird shady part....Just say hey to me so I know who you are and we can discuss music or stuff (told you that was weird). and if you dont wanna say talk to me thats totally understandable but I really enjoyed your blog and a now following it.
Hey Hamza. Making connections based on shared ideas is not shady, it is what blogs are about. We put ourselves out there, we share our passions and hope that we find and meet others who are like us. We are not forced to make friends based on mentor groups or physical proximity, but based on our idea, our art our words.
DeleteI think it is great that you chose to reach out. Mahpara is in MS. G's class. I suggest you keep reading her blog and hopefully she will do the same. Have lunch, hang out. We are building a community here people.
You both make me proud.
Exactly. :)

DeleteFirst of all, Hi!
DeleteIt is so nice to meet you, I'm Mahpara, from 7LTM. Let me just say, I don't think your comment was weird or shady in any way, whatsoever, in fact, I thought you did a great job of expressing your thoughts and opinions throughout the comment, and I can totally relate to you when you say "I always sucked at composing it and playing it but none the less I love listening to it" because I can't play a single instrument, and though I do sing a little, I will never have the courage to ever let anyone hear me.
I am so glad you enjoyed my post and thank you for your compliment, I really appreciate it. I would love to share my thoughts of music with you, as it is so great to know there are others out there who can really have the connection I have to music.
By the way, I checked out your blog, and it has some really incredible stuff on there, such as your poem called "A drop of blood then another" It is really cool, and you are an awesome poet.
Thanks again for your comment, I would love to meet up someday,
-Mahpara
